Jihad is probably one of the most discussed and one of the least understood within Islam. After September 11, 2001, jihad has been at the forefront of discussions within Islam. Islamic apologists argue that jihad is primarily an internal struggle of the soul against sin within oneself. This is done without the support of the Qur'an or "authentic" ahadith. Many want to compare jihad with violence of the Old Testament, but the two are vastly different. This section has FAQs on jihad and violence, both within Islam and Christianity. |
