Christmas Tract 2008
Did you see the coverage of the Hajj on television? Did it make you wonder why Christmas, the true story of Christmas isn't told by the media? I'm sure you've encountered people who think they know everything about Christianity and Jesus, but don't really know much at all. Muslims are like that too. Because Muhammad teaches about Jesus in the Qur'an and hadith, many Muslims think they know Jesus (Isa); in fact, many Muslims think they honour Jesus more than Christians do.
Of course, there are also many Muslims, who recognise that they don't really understand why Christians do what they do. So here's a tract to help you break the ice. The tract is challenging, and we hope that it will prompt many questions.
As you celebrate Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour, we ask that you would pray for Muslims who are desparately seeking to know God. Millions of Christians around the world will suffer persecution for trying to celebrate Christmas or witness about the Saviour. They gladly suffer persecution for the sake of the Gospel. Here in the West, we're unlikely to suffer much persecution, so what's holding you back from obeying the Gospel call?
This year, we're challenging you to be faithful to the command of Jesus to share the Gospel. We ask that you simply download and print the Christmas Tract for 2008, and pray about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with at least one Muslim.

We've tried to make the tract easy to understand for Muslims and non-Muslims. There are many arguments that you may encounter when using this tract. Persevere! Contact us if you have any questions, please post a question and we'll email you the answer and put the question/answer up on this page for everyone to see.
We challenge you to share the Gospel with at least one Muslim.
May the Lord bless you as you share the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Answers to Questions
Q. Sura Muhammad (47:19) says that Muhammad committed a sin. What sort of sin?A. Muhammad committed various sins. Some Muslims will try and argue that they weren't real sins. But Sura 47:19 which says "“So know (O Muhammad) that Lâ ilâha ill-Allâh (none as the right to be worshipped but Allâh), and ask forgiveness for your sin [this is a big sin - lithanbika], and also for (the sin of) believing men nd believing women…." This is possibly alluding to the time when Muhammad was trying to entice converts but not many were coming. So he received a "revelation" that allowed his followers to worship other gods alongside Allah (Life of Muhammad, Ibn Ishaq, pp.165-167 Ibn Ishaq's biography of the Life of Muhammad is the oldest known biography and accepted by virtually all Muslims). The revelation was later recanted and Muhammad was told that Sura 22:52 "Never did We send a Messenger or a Prophet before you, but; when he did recite the revelation or narrated or spoke, Shaitân (Satan) threw (some falsehood) in it. But Allâh abolishes that which Shaitân (Satan) throws in. Then Allâh establishes His Revelations. And Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise."
According to the oldest biography of Muhammad, the sin that Muhammad committed, apparently by the inspiration of Satan, was to allow Muslims to join partners with Allah, the greatest sin. Muhammad was forgiven by Allah, but he was still told to pray and ask for forgiveness.
